The KD18 "Thunder & Reign" Chet Holmgren Player Exclusive combine the legacy of Kevin Durant, the modern playing style of Chet Holmgren, and visual elements that reinforce the idea of a tall but unpredictable player.

The concept is based on how Durant changed the perception of tall players in basketball. Before KD, players over 2.10 m with technical skills and ball handling were usually confined to the post. Slim Reaper paved the way for tall and versatile players like Holmgren to expand their game across the court, shoot from outside, create plays, and display skills normally associated with shorter players.

Although tall players can now dominate anywhere on the court, sometimes it is also useful to "hide" and attack unexpectedly. That's why the design incorporates Chet's favourite camouflage print, symbolising that ability to emerge from the shadows and surprise the opponent.
