The Puma MB.05 Fast & Furious are directly inspired by the universe of the Fast & Furious saga, bringing the aesthetics and culture of street-racing to the design of a basketball shoe.

This model takes as reference the orange Toyota Supra MK IV driven by Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) in the first film, The Fast and the Furious (2001). This car is one of the most iconic in the entire franchise: it represents the character’s transformation within the world of street racing and symbolises the tuning culture that defines the start of the saga.

The striking colours, mainly intense orange and yellow tones combined with black, directly evoke the Supra’s aesthetics, as well as the energy, speed and visual aggression typical of the night races in the film. The idea is to bring that sense of power and adrenaline from the asphalt to the court.

The “LA” in the model refers to Los Angeles, the city where much of the action in the first Fast & Furious film takes place. This city becomes the epicentre of street-racing in the saga, home to illegal races, modified cars and the urban culture that defined the beginning of the franchise.

The upper is made with technical mesh fabric. On the heel, it features a detailed moulded barbed wire relief, inspired by Melo’s tattoos.
