Nike JA 3 "Tri-State" Shoes

The inspiration behind the Nike JA 3 "Tri-State", also known as "At Dawn", combines two main ideas: the symbolism of dawn and the connection with the Tri-State region in the northeast of the United States.

On one hand, the nickname "At Dawn" represents the early hours of the day, associated with silent work and discipline. This concept is linked to Ja Morant's competitive mindset: training early, before everyone else, and building his game through daily consistency. The gradient colours of the model (blends of blue, pink and orange tones) evoke the dawn sky, reinforcing that visual narrative of starting the day working on the court.

On the other hand, the term "Tri-State" refers to the region formed by New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, an area with a strong tradition of street basketball and competitive culture. Some interior details of the design include regional nods, such as area codes, to connect the model with that geographical identity.

Ja Morant puts on a show every time he steps onto the court. Nike has teamed up with Ja to enhance his game with the most responsive exclusive Ja shoes to date. The JA 3, lightweight and durable, feature a revolutionary design thanks to the full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam. As Ja says: "It's crazy how responsive the ZoomX foam is. It's my fuel to fly high".
