This ‘B.A.D.’ edition of the KD18 is inspired by Barbara A. Davis, Kevin Durant's maternal grandmother, who passed away in 2022. The name ‘B.A.D.’ stands for her initials, and the silhouette pays tribute to her influence and love in Durant's life.
The design uses a soft, warm colour palette of purples, lavender, hemp and fire pink, evoking warmth and serenity, closely linked to the maternal figure. In addition, the initials ‘B.A.D.’ are embroidered on the inside of the tongue, reinforcing this personal and emotional tribute.
The sturdy plastic structure keeps the foot straight and adds firmness to both sides of the foot. Support is essential in the new KD shoes.
