The Air Jordan 4 'White Cement' was first released on 1 January 1989. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it is one of the four original colourways of the Air Jordan 4 and now returns following an absence of six years.
This model introduced technical and aesthetic innovations that marked a milestone in the history of athletic footwear. A pivotal moment in their history was their appearance in Spike Lee's film Do the Right Thing, in which the character Buggin' Out wears a pair of 'White Cement' trainers. This cemented their status in popular culture.
